Just arrived in stock this 5mm natural Jute mat is suitable for all types of Yoga with the exception of:
Power Yoga or Hot Yoga  
 
Jute offers excellent hand and foot grip and the jute layer on the top, gives the mat a both a natural appearance and a pleasant feeling on top., the underneath PVC is designed to grip on hard surfaces.
Excellent insulation: 
Both water resistant and heat-insulating from a cold floor this mat does not slip and is shock absorbing. 
Materials: 
Foam Vinyl / PVC with non-slip on the underside & natural Jute on the upper surface, 
Standard EN71 Part3 standard meets EU guidelines. 20% Jute and 80% PVC
 
Natural fibers are fast becoming a favorite material for Yogis & I have sourced these at a very good price.
I have just trialled one of these, it initially felt rough but on using it for a full session, I actually found it very powerful for grounding, and surprisingly I wasn't nearly as drained from teaching as I normally am. It is very light to carry round & perfect for balances but perhaps not so much for restorative yoga where the majority of the class is floor work. I will try and get some better photos.
